Role Summary
We’re hiring a Technical Product Manager to lead data and analytics platform strategy in a highly technical, engineering-led environment. You’ll own the roadmap, partner with architects on Databricks-based solutions, and bring clarity where it’s most needed. This is a high-visibility role, balancing business priorities with technical trade-offs to deliver meaningful outcomes at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the roadmap for data platform and analytics products (Databricks, Superset / Preset).
- Translate business objectives into clear requirements, specifications, and measurable success criteria.
- Partner with architecture and engineering teams to design pragmatic, scalable solutions.
- Drive backlog, prioritization, and delivery in ambiguous or fast-moving settings.
- Present product decisions, trade-offs, and progress to senior stakeholders with data-driven rationale.
- Ensure observability, analytics, and usability are embedded into the platform design.
Must-Have Skills / Experience
- 10+ years of product management experience with data/analytics platform products.
- Strong technical fluency with Databricks and modern data stacks.
- Hands-on experience with BI/observability tools, ideally Superset / Preset.
- Ability to partner closely with architects and engineers on solution design (without day-to-day coding).
- Proven track record of stakeholder management in engineering-led organizations.
- Excellent communication and documentation; comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous, high-pressure environments.
- Americas time-zone alignment (EST minimum; PST ideal).
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Background in product-led enterprises (preferred over pure consulting).
- Experience with CI/CD for data products, governance, or distributed systems.
- Familiarity with AI/ML features or observability in data platforms.
- Exposure to large enterprise or regulated industries (finance, healthcare, etc.).
