The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer / AI Solution Architect to lead the design, prototyping, and implementation of AI-powered cost optimization and anomaly detection solutions for global clients, including UHG/Ensemble.

This role combines deep technical expertise with solution architecture and client-facing leadership. You will own AI-first strategies for cost optimization, architect scalable solutions, and directly shape how Fortune 500 clients drive cloud efficiency. It’s a chance to work with cutting-edge ML and optimization techniques while enjoying high autonomy and visibility.

What You’ll Do

• Lead AI Solution Architecture – Drive planning, design, and delivery of AI-first optimization strategies for large enterprise clients.
• Build Optimization Models – Develop and productionize models for commitment optimization, anomaly detection, GPU rightsizing, forecasting, and scheduling.
• Architect Data Flows – Design scalable APIs, data pipelines, and model integrations into FinOps tooling and client platforms.
• Deliver Client Value – Produce executive-ready integration playbooks, optimization summaries, and stakeholder status updates.
• Shape the Practice – Identify and prioritize high-impact AI opportunities, guiding both internal delivery teams and client engagements.
• Communicate Impact – Present technical insights in clear, business-focused language to executives and stakeholders.

First 90 Days

• Lead AI solution architecture for 1–2 key client workstreams. 
• Deliver optimization summary sheets and integration playbooks for high-priority client scenarios.
• Establish yourself as the AI product SME across the CO practice.

Success Profile

• Average Performance: Supports delivery teams, contributes incremental ideas, and owns a narrow slice of client work.
• Excellent Performance: Shapes and drives full-scale optimization initiatives across multiple high-value clients, elevating the entire CO practice through innovation and client impact.
  

Core Skills & Experience (Non-Negotiable)

• Deep knowledge of FinOps practices: commitment management, rightsizing, anomaly detection, forecasting, chargeback/showback.
• Specialized expertise in AI-driven cloud cost optimization: GPU/accelerator efficiency, instance family migration, reservation strategies, autoscaling policies.
• Strong grasp of business & financial modeling (ROI, unit economics, margin optimization).
• Expert in machine learning, deep learning, and optimization techniques (supervised/unsupervised, reinforcement learning, anomaly detection, forecasting).
• Proven experience building AI models for optimization problems (resource allocation, scheduling, cost minimization, demand prediction).
• Excellent client communication and executive-ready deliverable construction.

Nice-to-Have / Trainable

• Familiarity with deployment & orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker, FastAPI).
• Working knowledge of ML tools (MLflow, HuggingFace, Databricks, Streamlit/Gradio).
• Hands-on experience with visualization tools (Power BI, Looker).
