This person will:

• Lead and shape on-prem strategy across clients

• Partner directly with enterprise stakeholders

• Scope new optimization opportunities

• Drive infrastructure modernization and right-sizing initiatives

• Build the foundation of Virtasant’s long-term on-prem capability
  
  

Over time, this individual can evolve into the On-Prem Capability Leader within Cost Optimisation.

What You’ll Be Doing

Client Leadership

• Serve as a senior advisor on on-prem infrastructure strategy

• Lead infrastructure assessments and optimization roadmaps

• Present findings to enterprise stakeholders

• Translate technical constraints into cost-optimized solutions
  

Infrastructure Optimisation

• Capacity planning & right-sizing

• Cost visibility across on-prem environments

• Virtualization optimisation (VMWare, Hyper-V, etc.)

• Data centre infrastructure planning

• Infrastructure allocation strategy across business units
  

Team & Delivery Oversight

• Partner with / oversee system engineers

• Guide technical implementation approaches

• Introduce automation into on-prem workflows (Python preferred)

• Contribute to hybrid cloud transition strategies
  

Growth & Scoping

• Identify new optimization opportunities within existing accounts

• Scope and shape new engagements

• Support pre-sales conversations with technical credibility
  

Required Experience

We are looking for someone who has:

Technical Depth

• Deep on-prem infrastructure expertise in enterprise environments

• Capacity planning and infrastructure allocation experience

• Virtual environments & data centre architecture mastery

• Strong exposure to enterprise hardware ecosystems (e.g., Cisco, Dell, etc.)

• Automation experience (Python preferred)
  

Leadership Experience

• Experience managing or leading systems engineers

• Comfortable guiding technical teams across multiple engagements
  

Client-Facing Experience

• Has directly worked with enterprise stakeholders

• Can scope new workstreams or optimization initiatives

• Able to articulate infrastructure ROI and cost visibility improvements
  

Bonus Experience

• Hybrid cloud strategy exposure

• AI-driven optimisation awareness

• Experience leading large-scale migrations

• Experience directing enterprise-wide on-prem modernization initiatives
